Buku ini secara khusus mengkaji Konstitusionalisme Islam yang menjadi topik yang "langka" untuk didiskusikan di Indonesia dalam satu dekade terakhir. Selain pendekatan teoretis, buku ini berbeda dengan menawarkan studi tentang konsekuensi dari perjalanan panjang sistem hukum di Indonesia. This book correspondingly examines Islamic Constitutionalism which has taken off as a “rare” subject to be discussed in Indonesia in the last decade. Beside theorical approach, this book differs by offering a study of the consequences of Indonesian long journey for legal systems. It examines the role played by law, especially constitutional law, in the negotiation of the complex relationships and competing rights claims involving the state organs,political parties,national minorities, and other groups and individuals within the State.
